Do you have a correct manner of life? To be honest, May be my or your Dad did somethings for us adopted self-righteous, But I konws that dad so selfless when i grow up and watch this film, maybe When We are youth just don’t know it and hate dad or abas by dad’s occupation. I recommend this movie.

My Dear Son(我要富貴) is about Peter Ho Tin-cheung (Jacky Cheung,張學友), a person who has a father (Bill Tung,董驃) whom performs in the markets of Hong Kong, singing offensive “folk eroticism” songs, which the audiences, appreciates his performance. Peter succeeded in winning a job position as an office employee in Central (Chung Wan). Every neighbour knows it and congratulates him. Everything goes to plan, and he even got praises from his manager when he thought of a great idea for his manager’s business. You have to watch the film to understand what I’m trying to say. He even manages to grab the attention of his Chief Executive Officer’s (CEO,秦沛) sister (Kathy Chow,周海媚) and fell in love with her.

…. No, I’m not going to tell you the remaining half of the story, you have to watch it for yourself. But one thing I can tell you: You will either like the film or hate the film, but you won’t say it’s an excellent film. But it is a film with a message for the audience to learn, but you have the find the message towards the very end of the film. Jacky Cheung and the cast gives an excellent performance. This film was probably made in very late 1988 (they probably begun shooting this film in early December, 1988), when Jacky’s career hit rock bottom. This film was released in 1989. I’m glad it’s Wong Kar-wai’s 1988 film, “As Tears Go By” that revived Jacky’s career.[Writen by Anonymous]
