A 75-year-old woman from Dalian, Liaoning province, detested her abusive husband so much she made a will instructing her children not to bury her with him.
The husband, who died last year, was said to have had a bad temper, and frequently cursed and beat his wife when he was alive. Once, the woman even had to get 12 stitches near her eye after the man beat her.
The children of the woman, surnamed Sun, have agreed to buy a separate grave for their mother.
