A primary school that ordered the parents of a 7-year-old boy to chaperone him in the school building has created outrage.

The boy apparently goes to the girls’ toilet in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan Province, frequently.

The boy, Wang, faces dismissal by the school if his parents refuse to accompany him to the campus.

The school headmaster said Wang would hinder the school’s normal operation if his parents refuse to accompany him. But many local experts and residents said it was normal for a 7-year-old kid to mistakenly enter the wrong toilet and the school should not deprive him of his right to attend school.
