Police in Hanyang, Hubei Province, had to turn to the fire department to break into an apartment locked by burglars.
The apartment owner, surnamed Zheng, found his home locked last Thursday when he got back at about 7 pm. The thieves had escaped through the windows.
Police were clueless when they first arrived at the scene, while locksmiths failed to open the door.
A fire truck was sent for and it took six firefighters 10 minutes to open the door with special tools.
