A drunken man from Shenyang, Liaoning, drowned last Tuesday while giving hisdog a bath in a river.
When the dog slid into the river, the man immediately jumped into the waterto save the pet.
When some passersby asked if he needed help, the man was too drunk to reply,according to a witness named Xiao Jun said.
“Later, we found that he was unable to swim and called people to pull him andhis dog out of the deep river,” the witness said. “The dog is OK but the man wasdead.”
