It was not just a speeding ticket for another city, it was also for another time.
Yan, a driver in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, got the ticket on Wednesday for a speeding offense committed in Mianyang, another city in the province.
It was dated September 3, 2009.
“I received the notice for speeding when I went for an annual vehicle inspection. It stated a car with my vehicle number had exceeded the limit,” Yan said. Police said investigations revealed the data on the offense might have been collected incorrectly and are rectifying it.
