When Liang Shan in a Jining village, Shandong Province, invited his neighborsurnamed Zhang to his son’s wedding, he had no idea how expensive it was goingto be.
The drunken Zhang fell into a giant wok full of boiling water for washingdishes. When Zhang asked Liang for 6,000 yuan (US$790) in compensation, Liangrefused.
Zhang then sued Liang. Eventually the court ordered Liang to pay Zhang 3,600yuan (US$474).
