A woman took her ex-lover to court, accusing him of stealing her watches andjewelry. But the judge dismissed the case, finding her too “forgetful”.
The defendant, a married fireman surnamed Chan, was having an affair withSin, who operates a bar.
After they broke up, Sin sued Chan for stealing her valuables and pawningthem for HK$99,300 ($12,730).
The judge found Sin’s memory unreliable. During cross-examination, she saidshe didn’t remember attempting suicide and being hospitalizedafterwards.
