A 16-year-old high school student from Shenyang, Liaoning Province, was unable to move his neck after playing a whole night of computer games at an Internet cafe on Saturday.
“I felt dizzy the next morning and had to see a doctor at a hospital, where he said it was cervical spondylosis, which usually affects the aged,” Wang Liang said.
“More teens are getting cervical spondylosis, with more than 80 percent being computer game addicts who have their neck vertebras injured seriously by just sitting there without changing their postures or moving their neck muscles,” the doctor, surnamed Guo, said.
