A migrant woman in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, gave birth to healthy twin girls on Tuesday, just one year after delivering triplets, all boys.
The woman, surnamed Pan, gave birth to a baby girl on her way to the hospital. Another girl arrived about 10 minutes later. Her triplets, regrettably, were all stillborn.
Doctors said it was rare for a woman who had no family history of multiple births and no fertility treatment to produce more than one child at a time.
