For the past 14 years, Wang Yongfa, 68, a farmer in Xingping city, Shaanxi province, has been living in seclusion on his farmland.
In 1993, Wang’s son died suddenly, and the shock left his wife mentally disordered. In order not to disturb his neighbors, Wang built a small house on his land outside the village, where he devoted himself to looking after his wife. Though the situation is difficult, Wang said he will do what he can to treat his wife’s condition.
