Xu Luping, 82, has been keeping up with the times and recently learned how to chat online with her children.
Residing in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province, Xu has five children, who work in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province, and Beijing. Additionally, her grandson is studying in Sydney, Australia.
“I used to keep in touch by posting letters and making phone calls, which was so inconvenient. Recently, I learned to surf online and use QQ, an instant messaging tool. Now, I can not only hear their voices but also see their faces,” Xu said.
