The pets of a couple saved them from possible death in Zhaodong, Heilongjiang Province.
The couple in their 60s had placed a coal-burning heater in their room and were soon overcome by the fumes.
Their pets, a dog and a cat, rushed out into the courtyard and the barking and meowing alerted the couple’s daughter living next door.
The daughter went to her parent’s home and found them unconscious. The two are in hospital, but out of danger.
