A bird park in Changsha, Hunan Province, organized a wedding ceremony for a griffon vulture on Tuesday, attracting many curious visitors.

The griffon vulture’s home was decorated with red lanterns and other materials suitable for a traditional Chinese wedding.

The male vulture, called Biao Biao, had finally selected a partner from nine candidates the previous week.

Bird park staff said Biao Biao had been picky about choosing a mate and had refused many female birds in previous months.
