Acouple of lovers in Shishi, Fujian Province who climbed onto a rock,were stranded by the rising tide early Saturday morning.
Police received the report from local fishermen that two young people werecalling for help on a rock about 100 meters away from the beach at 1:30 am.
When the police arrived, the water had submerged the rock and reached thecouple’s knees. Half an hour later, the police reached them in a fishing boatand took them back to the beach.
The couple, both migrant workers at a nearby factory, said they climbed onthe rock at night to show faith in each other.
