A drunk found himself stranded on a river bank after he took a swim in the waterway in his intoxicated state.
Police were told of a man, surnamed Shen, who jumped into the river in Jinzhou, Zhejiang Province, early Sunday morning, disappearing soon after.
A search by police found the man slumped on the other side of the river two hours later - a 2 m-high wall built to keep people from falling into the waters had instead prevented Shen from climbing out.
