A woman has been living in a tree for more than two months in Humen Township, Dongguan, Guangdong Province.
The woman, who is in her 40s, built her home 6 m off the ground in September and has a bed in the tree, which is near a basketball court. She said living in a tree is safer because children used to throw stones at her when she was living on the streets. According to residents, this was a rational explanation and they ruled out the possibility that the woman has mental problems.
