A woman in Pingquan County, Hebei Province, was recently picked up by police after she used a high-volume tweeter to harass a neighbor, which caused her to commit suicide.
The two families have been engaged in a dispute for years. On August 21, the woman, surnamed Li, swore at her neighbor, also a woman, with a high-powered loudspeaker for two hours that morning.
Her neighbor got so angry about Li’s verbal abuse that she committed suicide that afternoon.
Li was then taken into custody for insulting another person. The case is still under investigation.
