A woman surnamed Zhao was ordered to pay her former employer more than110,000 yuan ($14,194) last Thursday after breaking her contract to join acompeting electronics firm in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
Zhao was sued by her former employer after she joined a competitor early thisyear. Zhao had resigned last year claiming “poor health”.
Zhengzhou Intermediate People’s Court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, sayingZhao had violated labor laws.
