Ahn Jae Wook(安在旭), a familiar South Korean TV actor to the Chinese audiences, became the first foreign entertainer to make a donation to the victims of the Chinese earthquake, when on Thursday he gave 50 million South Korean won, about 350,000 yuan, to a fund organized by the Chinese singer Han Hong.
Chinese website Sina quoted a letter from Ahn Jae Wook as saying that he had seen the devastating situation in the earthquake-hit Sichuan Province on television and wanted to ask his friend Han Hong to help him deliver the money as well as his blessing.
Hang Hong has organized a fund-raising activity for the earthquake victims on Wednesday, which received great support from both common people and entertainment stars.
