On January 2nd, 2008, actor couple Cha In-pyo and Shin Ae-ra adopted a 100 day old baby girl from Uljongbu Welfare Center.
Shin Ae-ra was a volunteer at the Uijeongbu Welfare center where the child was placed.
Cha In-pyo told Star Review (Korean) that his wife grew particularly attached to the baby and prayed for her every night. And when they decided to adopt her, he stated that “the child chooses the parents and for that reason, she is a gift from God”[by ttenovy]
