Cuisine related variety show “Manly Chef” started work after the Chinese New Year. The host Zeng Guo Cheng, Chen Qiao En, Ah Ji Shi and James talked about the highlights of their new year. Zeng Guo Cheng for once lost to James in mahjong. Although it was just a few thousand dollar, he still got angry about that; Chen Qiao En started filming “Fated To love You” at the start of Chinese New Year already and before the new year, she happily gave out a lump sum of a few ten thousand dollar worth of hongbao to her parents and the production crew she works with. She laughed and said that “I drank too much that day. I regretted it the moment I woke up the next morning!”
Starting filming for the first time after CNY on the 20th, the four hosts talked about their eventful Chinese New year and when Ah Ji Shi was asked, as a restaurant main chef, he could only smile sadly and say “I didn’t have a break at all during the whole New Year. I worked from Chinese New Year eve all the way to the 19th. “Manly Chef” starting work is my holiday!” On the eve of Chinese New Year, the whole restaurant was full and Ah Ji Shi even had to carry four set of handphone and walkie talkie so as to be prepared for anything. Cheng Cheng and James laughed and claimed that “Ah Ji Shi is the mobile headquarter!” However, Chinese New Year eve that night brought in a total earning of 2500 thousand which made Ah Ji Shi very proud and at ease.
The other host Chen Qiao En on the otherhand, started work a few days into the CNY, filming the idol drama “Fated To Love You” Before the new year, when “Manly Chef” had their end of year festival, she started to give out hongbaos to the workers crazily. One round of hongbaos after another. She even started distributing hongbaos to production crew of other shows. The crew joked that Qiao En must have drank too much! Qiao En expressed that “Just by giving hongbaos to my mom and dad as well as the crew workers, I already gave out a few ten thousand dollar! I was drinking too happily that day. I really regretted it the next morning when I woke up!”
“Manly Chef” start recording and invited two hot mothers Wang Jing Ying and Lin Ye Ting to PK their own special dishes. Lin Ye Ting’s obsession with beauty is something everyone knows and in the middle of the recording, she even requested for a crew to get a hair curler for her and started curling her fringe. Host Zeng Guo cheng immediately scolded “You think this is your own house’!” Lin Ye Ting calmly expressed that “After I finish my dish, my hair will then still remain beautiful.” When Wang Jing Ying was asked whether she cooks at home, she said that “I don’t usually cook. It depends on my mood. If I’m in a good mood, I will pour a glass of red wine while cooking and enjoy the feeling of being a rich lady.”[by minivicki]
