U.S. entertainment giant Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday it will begin to offer movies for free on its website this summer, apparently as an effort to attract more visitors.
Sponsored by advertisers, films will be streamed online for free after being aired first on Disney’s ABC network on Saturday nights throughout the summer, the company said.
Disney said the films will be available to watch on Disney.com for the week following airing on ABC.
The films include “Finding Nemo,” which is currently available this week, “Monsters Inc.,” “Haunted Mansion,” “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,” “Princess Diaries 2,” “Freaky Friday,” and ” Peter Pan.”
Disney also said it will stream the Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock” after its television premier, as part of an interactive feature on the site.
