As the first-time ambassador for Summer (Bikini) season, it is only natural that the subject of women’s struggle with their body types gets brought up. Looking at herself in the mirror, Fan Bing Bing strokes her face and comments to the interviewer, “I grow fat easily. I do have a thin face, arms and forearms, which are thankfully the areas people notice but when it comes to the rest of my body, i am actually a “fat chick”.
And indeed, while Fan Bing Bing’s face is as small as an average person’s palm, the extra inches around her waist and lower body can be clearly seen. And for someone who doesn’t have the perfect figure but who is arguably the one China celebrity face that dominates the covers of tabloids and magazines, Fan Bing Bing admits that she has been incredibly lucky.
Fan Bing Bing shares that she once thought of dieting to achieve the bony and frail figure most Chinese female celebrities flaunt these days but shelved the idea because she once consulted a very famous fortune teller who told her that if she were to lose weight and lose her big bottom, all the good fortune and luck she has enjoyed thus far will be gone.
