Chinese mainland actress Fan Bingbing has become another Chinese beauty who has wowed Berlin Film Festival, following big names such as Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi.
She attended the world premiere of her latest movie “Lost in Beijing” in Berlin on February 16 during the 57th Berlin Film Festival.
She chose dresses with traditional Chinese character and works of a well-known Chinese designer.
Chinese competition entry “Lost in Beijing” is about the bizarre relationships and conflicts between two couples. The film aims to shed light on ethical conflicts caused by the differences between different social statuses.
The other Chinese entry, “Tuya’s Marriage,” won the top prize at the film festival. The film tells the story of a Mongolian herdswoman’s brave struggle to keep her family together. It offers a look at the rural lifestyle on the Inner Mongolia steppe which director Wang Quan’an says is fast disappearing.[by francesca]
