Horror/suspense film, ‘The Nineteenth Level of Hell’ had been filming a scene at a university about moving into a dormitory. Besides Gillian Chung and Vincy Chan, the scene also included Shaun Tam, and MeiAh newcomers Bonnie Sin and Maggie Lee, etc. From watching the scene, Gillian and Vincy were required to carry two big and heavy cardboard boxes and walk across the school’s fields and stairs for close to 20 times. Despite both girls looking so petite, but neither of them looked worn out after so many trips. Even when they did not have to film, Gillian and Vincy willingly held up the cardboard boxes, containing books and accessories; there had been no diva-like attitude at all.
Being dressed in an ‘attitude style’, it is Vincy’s first time filming a movie, but as seen on the spot, she did not appear to be stiff with her acting at all. Usually being so dainty and quiet, Vincy portrayed a great scene of yelling at people; it made the director very satisfied. Towards being complimented, Vincy modestly expressed, “I was pretty scared that I was going to bring the team down because I don’t have enough experience, so I have been reading the script over and over again while watching horror films. Because I am easily frightened, I have been waking up in the middle of the night because of being scared!” Vincy’s outfits mostly consist of skirts; because she is afraid of the cold, Vincy puts warming pads on her legs to keep them warm, but who would have thought that while Vincy was filming a scene with Gillian, her warming pads fell to the ground without herself even knowing! As a result, Vincy started blushing once Gillian broke out laughing on the set. Known to be very caring to her juniors, after Gillian found out that Vincy is afraid of the cold, she specifically went home to bring Vincy some of her personal electronic warming pads. It made Vincy feel very warm inside.
Gillian has been a fan of horror films since she was young, hence she expressed that she does not feel that afraid while filming, and she frequently asks her friends if there are even scarier horror films so she can scream with all her might. She said, “I’ve seen so many horror films that I don’t feel afraid when watching anymore. The scariest has to be that time when my mother took me to watch a horror film when I was young. It talked about ghosts tugging onto your legs; the theatre was very old and eerie. It nearly scared the living daylights out of me! That is why sometimes when I go to the theatre to watch horror films, I pull my legs up because of this frightening childhood memory! Haha!” Credit To Oriental Daily News[by Little_Purple_Bell]
