KOREAN actor Kwon Sang Woo got slammed by fans of fellow actor Song Seung Hun recently, after revealing that he turned down a role that later went to Seung Hun. Known as good friends, the duo will star together in the new action film Destiny, which explores the friendship among four men.

Seung Hun plays a guy with split personality, while Sang Woo plays a an ambitious guy who comes to a tragic end.

Sang Woo, 31, wrote on his website recently that he was ‘not interested’ in Seung Hun’s role and rejected it. Instead, he chose a different role that would ‘display’ his acting and show a different side of him. But his words drew criticism from Seung Hun’s fans, who thought he was belittling their idol.

A crossfire ensued when Sang Woo’s fans jumped to his defense. The situation got so bad that Sang Woo had to apologise online, said United Daily News. He also wrote: ‘Song Seung Hun is my only friend, so can both our fans stop fighting and support the movie Destiny together”

The film also stars actor Ji Sung in his comeback after serving in the army and actress Park Han Byul of Wishing Stairs fame.[by francesca]
