Leo won the JSG Gold Song award, but missed the Most Popular Male Singer one. Concerning this, he did not feel disappointed. In fact, he stated to be satisfied with his results and felt that the Leo in year 06 won the Leo in year 05, hence he feels thankful every time he receives awards.
Leo said,” I saw Eason at the back stage after the ceremony, we congratulated each other and hugged. Both of us wish the HK music industry to improve. This is my first time getting the Gold Song award, so it is significant to me. Like what Eric said at the beginning of the ceremony - less rumours and more good songs, this is the only way HK music industry can be better.”
When asked in what terms he lost such that he did not win the male singer award, Paco replied on Leo’s behalf,” Winning the Gold Song is already a big winner, because this award is hard to win. “Love Too Late” deserves the award, and it represents Leo’s hard work for year 06. The male singer award is a matter of time, there’s a need to be long-lived in this industry to carry on in the game. (Does this mean he’ll win it) This is our target.”
Leo is currently leading in the Four Stations Media Award. When asked if he is confident in the final ceremony (RTHK’s), he said,” I’ll leave it to nature.” He stated that he smiled from his heart when the announcement of male singer award winner was made, and was satisfied that he could sing good songs. Paco gave further support and said,” We have been winning Gold Song award for 3 consecutive years, this is our company’s luck to have met good songs.
