After winning the crown title of Miss Chinese International in 2004, Linda Chung Ka Yan already had good results in her career in a short span of 3 years. At TVB’s 39th Anniversary last year, she won last year’s Most Improved Actress Award.
Despite being heavily promoted by TVB, Linda is not complacent. She intends to take music lessons from singer, Chan Kit Ying and sharpen all her skills to achieve a more well-rounded performance career.
Although Linda has filmed TV series non-stop and recently taken on her first movie role, she admitted that there are numerous areas in which she still needs improvement. The music industry will be her focus in 2007.
“There are many opportunities waiting for me to explore. However due to [limited time], it has been difficult to focus on each opportunity. Although I had a chance to sing opening and ending theme songs, I hope to improve my singing skills further.”
“TVB’s recording technician suggested I ask Chan Kit Ying to become my music instructor. But I don’t know if she has time to accept me as her student.”
Cast in new series, “Jewel’s Splendor,” Linda indicated it was the perfect opportunity to hone her acting skills by working with the experienced cast.
“In the series, my character is a spoilt heiress, which is completely opposite of my past roles. Since I will be working with Bowie Lam, Ada Choi Siu Fun and other talented artists, it will be a great chance to learn from them!”[by j033y]
