Once a famous singer, Kim Jang Hoon, just got exposed that he has been living in a rental house in order to saved money for charity purposes. His selfless mode of giving have deeply touched many hearts.
A newspaper reported that Kim Jang Hoon has been living in a rental house for the past 10 years, and the rent was about 1.2 million won per month. For a famous artist, it is considered to be pretty thrifty. However, for the past ten years, he had quietly donated up to 4 billion won to various charity organizations.
Kim Jung Hoon confided, “My personal mode of living in a rental house and used that extra money for charity purposes were exposed to the public. Now, everyone focused so much attentions on my behavior of choice, and this had made me felt extremely uncomfortable. I just hoped to contribute what little I could to society and help those who needed a helping hand along the way”.
In addition, Kim Jang Hoon is the only singer who has been honorably invited to perform in the gala, prior to the actual inauguration ceremony of the new Korean President on February 25th, 2008.[by KST_CICHLID]
