TVBs 2007 Miss Chinese International Pageant will be held tonight at Fo Shans News Centre. The 21 candidates will not only be competing for the winner, first runner up and second runner up crown but also for the Miss Friendship and Chinese Culture Ambassador titles. After yesterdays blessing ceremony, all the candidates appeared in swimwear and voted for Miss Friendship. In the end, Bangkoks Parichart Wisutthiphat (16) won the title. It has been reported than Hong Kongs representative, Aimee Chan (2), Louise Suzanna Wu (3) of San Francisco and Cindy Hsu (18) from Auckland have the best body. While Montreals representative, Bamboo Cui (11) whose body is said to be like Fei Tin (Myolie Wus character in To Grow with Love).
(2) Aimee Chan not only has slender arms but her chest bust measures a 33.5 inch and has been nicknamed to have soup bowls for her chest while (1) Tina Leung of Seattle has been named the most flat chested of the competition. When asked if the swimwear part would be her best performance, Aimee replied, It ok. All the other candidates have great bodies as well. I have always cared about what I eat, I did not purposely lose weight. (Are you confident) I will be very calm and enjoy the experience. As for the 131 pound (11) Bamboo Cui, she has always found a problem with her body, she commented, My bone structure is quite big and because of doing ballet since I was young, I cannot get rid of the bulging muscles in my leg. But everywhere else is ok!
After receiving the Miss Friendship title, (16) Parichart Wisutthiphat has been viewed as unlikely to win by viewers. When hearing about this, she exclaimed, Oh no! I dont believe in that. (Are you confident in winning another award) All of us have confidence because we are representing our cities; we have to do our best!
(13) Yvonne Pann Chapman of Calgary was very confident and did not stop making poses. Not only did she steal the limelight, she is one of the hot favourite to win. Torontos (4) Sherry Chen, New Yorks (9) Sirena Wang and Johannesburgs (20) Ivy Lu are also hot favourites.
