South Coast Hwy., 200 block, vandalism. A woman said someone took less than $400 worth of plants from her business between Friday night and Saturday morning. Someone took potted plants outside of business.
South Coast Hwy., 400 block, arrest. Saaed Muaafa Almohesni was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after threatening a fellow busboy at Hotel Laguna with a knife. Almohesni allegedly was upset because he was not allowed to serve food to customers. Reported between 3:57-4:49 p.m.
Thalia Street, 200 block, arrest. Vanness Van Wu was arrested for driving under the influence.
South Coast Hwy., 400 block, grand theft. A woman said $4,600 worth of jewelry was stolen from her room at Hotel Laguna. She accused hotel staffers who moved her bags from one room to another. Reported at 7:31 p.m.
Crescent Bay Drive, 100 block, arrest. Benjamin Michael Israel was arrested for disorderly conduct with alcohol. Reported between 5-7:48 p.m.
North Coast Hwy., 100 block, arrest. Charles Reginald Conwell was arrested for disorderly conduct with alcohol. Reported between 4:53-8:27 p.m.
South Coast Hwy., 1500 block, arrest. Mackenzie Brook was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing her gray Hyundai into a silver Ford. No injuries were reported. Bail was $2,500. Reported at 10:45 p.m.[by walexi]
