Korean Ministry of Culture is trying to prevent Rain getting drafted by the army by raising a case that Hallyu stars also need some kind of exemption just like professional athletes. Ministry of Culture’s involvement in Rain and other Hallyu stars’ military exemption not only raises eyebrows.

NOTE: All males in S. Korea must join the army for 2 years before they turn 30.
