Barbie and Dee Hsu have both had a rather sweet and happy Chinese New Year’s. Despite the recent tragic passing of Hsu WeiLun, Barbie and Vic’s affection has remained unchanged. On the afternoon of the day before yesterday, the young couple, together with Dee, met Patty Hou PeiCen for afternoon tea. Afterwards, they strolled off for some shopping, hand in hand. Looking very loving, Dee and husband Hsu YaJun (Mike) browsed the kitchenwares department (Note: “nian T T” actually means that they were “all over each other,” if I’m not mistaken). It is rumored that she is following the advice of a famous fortune teller, who advised her not to move into her new house which, nearing three hundred million yuan, is fit for an emperor, before the New Year. Hsu MaMa denied yesterday, however, that they were following the advice of any fortune teller: “The new house is like an active construction site, with live hammering and banging. We’re simply not convinced it’s the right time to move in!”
On the afternoon of the day before yesterday, a reporter spotted Barbie and Dee having tea with Patty Hou PeiCen. After they finished, ZaiZai and Mike split up respectively with Barbie and Dee. The four of them went to the shopping district to purchase some “daily necessities.” Both pairs of “silver lovers” attracted the attention and stares of many passers-by. Nevertheless, while window-shopping, ZaiZai took the initiative, reaching out to take Barbie’s hand in his own and following her wherever she went.

ZaiZai’s mood has been despondent lately due to the tragic passing of his ex-girlfriend Hsu WeiLun. For a while, he went around unshaven and looking like a “wandering spirit.” But now, his face looked like the spring breeze– vibrant and happy– and so it looks as though his emotional scars have begun to heal.
Hsu MaMa confirmed that ZaiZai’s mood has improved a lot recently. She also said that she had suggested to Barbie in the past that she ought to take ZaiZai out more often… to take in the sun; this would help him recover. Barbie indicated that ZaiZai and she have already paid joint visits to their respective families this year, as well as mutually “bai nian” (pay their New Year’s respects/calls). Obviously, their relationship/love has reached yet another level.
Meanwhile, Dee and Mike browsed the kitchenwares department. At first, the two shopped separately; only after crossing paths four times did the two sweetly put their arms around each other. Afterwards, Dee rode off in Mike’s new Lexus (worth 4 million) to go to their “di bao (literally, treasure of the emperor… I think this is the nickname for their new house).” Dee also happily revealed that her brief “vacation” (during the New Year’s period) was made possible by her parents-in-law, who travelled north to care for Hsu QiaoNiu.

Mike’s family had previously bought two neighboring “di bao” suites on the 18th floor, the combined value of which nears three hundred million yuan. They then knocked down the adjoining walls between the suites to combine the two into one, thus making it easier for the parents-in-law to take care of their new granddaughter, Hsu QiaoNiu. A fortune teller had pronounced that the “feng shui” (geomancy) of “di bao” is quite good, but cautioned that the “climate” last year for moving and entering new places was unfavorable, particularly to Mike’s business and the young child. Thus, the family decided to wait until after the New Year to move in.
As for Hsu MaMa’s denial of those motives, she said, “Ah, we were very busy before the New Year, so we’ve waited until now.” Additionally, all the furnishing and decorating of the new home was left up to the discretion and management of Mike, who required perfection. The most important thing to him is that his family live in comfort and happiness. It had not been finished yet, so they were not able to move in until now.

After the recent death of Hsu WeiLun, the two of them have realized that they must treasure what they have. Thus, their relationship and love has grown even stronger and more stable. This year, we could possibly see a child, which would result in marriage. We hope that they blossom and bear fruit.
Jiang PoLe (a fortune teller):
The death of Hsu WeiLun actually did not affect them that much. This year, however, ZaiZai has more potential for success than Barbie. They also have good luck, though; this is the crucial year of their relationship. Barbie could become pregnant, thus compelling ZaiZai to marry. However, if they don’t marry this year, then we fear that they will bid each other farewell at the end of the year.
