On the evening of February 29, the singer Xie Dong (谢东) because of taking the drug Ecstasy again, so he was given into custody 10 days by the Beijing Police. May, 2007, Xie Dong because of taking poison to be grasped, After his release from prisonis he said that repent and will to take pains to amend. At the same year on December 5 Xie dong is invited as Narcotics Control Volunteer by Beijing Police department.

It is whispered thatXie Dong maybe is Hou baolin’s (侯宝林) illegitimate child. Hou baolin is Xiangsheng master.

Hou Baolin (1917-1993), a native of Beijing, was born into a poor family. He began to learn the Peking Opera at the age of 12, but later switched to Xiangsheng (comic dialgoue), which he learned from Zhu Kuoquan. In the historical development of Xiangsheng art, Hou was the most renowned practitioner.
