In recent years, ex-TVB artist, Yammie Nam Kit Ying has suffered mental instability and has frequently checked in hospitals for treatment on various occasions.
[Since Yammie has no current source of income], lawyer-retiree friend, Tsang Koon Wai, has been supporting her daily living expenses. Mr. Tsang was spotted in Happy Valley yesterday. He purchased slippers and other goods for Yammie, who will be moving to Shenzhen, in preparation for the Lunar New Year.
Yammie telephoned Mr. Tsang yesterday, asking him for money for the New Year. Mr. Tsang commented, “She has already asked me for $10k (HKD) already! The girl friends with whom she is living with said that Yammie’s spirits have been quite low lately.”
“If Yammie were occupied with work, her condition should be better. Earlier there was a slimming agency that contacted her to endorse their products, but she asked for a $1 million (HKD) endorsement fee! I didn’t even follow up on the deal because I knew the advertisers were unwilling to pay such a large sum!”
Mr. Tsang also revealed that since he took on the role of financially supporting Yammie, he had already spent $700,000 (HKD) on her. The total future sum would likely exceed $1 million (HKD)!
Jayne: Yammie seems to be still struggling finding her way in life and will be unlikely to pay back Mr. Tsang’s money. It’s also obvious that Mr. Tsang is more than just a friend, otherwise he would not provide this amount of unlimited funds.
But the image Mr. Tsang projects isn’t entirely benign, as he always seems to speak poorly of Yammie in front of the press, especially complaining about the amount of money he spent on her, while boasting about his ability to afford such payments! [by tis me]
