A woman in Tonghua, Jilin Province, brought her husband out of a three-year coma with loving care and attention.
The woman, surnamed Zhang, had been collecting garbage to raise money to support her family ever since an accident left Li Qiang, her husband, in a coma. Her efforts paid off – a few weeks ago Li opened his eyes and attempted to talk. Touched by their story, a lawyer has helped Zhang get 380,000 yuan ($51,300) in compensation from the building company that employed her husband at the time of his injury.
