Lohan will attend grandfather’s funeral, says dad

September 6th, 2008 Posted in World Showbiz News

Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael is adamant his estranged daughter will attend her grandfather’s burial - despite snubbing the funeral services last weekend.

The pair has been embroiled in a war of words since Michael Lohan criticised the actress’ rumoured girlfriend Samantha Ronson - telling reporters the DJ was using the star to increase her public profile.

The Mean Girls star hit back at her dad, branding him a “bully” and a “public embarrassment”.

The feud seemed to affect serious family issues, with the star skipping her paternal grandfather’s wake to hang out with Ronson in New York.

Michael Lohan was left furious with her actions, blaming his ex-wife Dina, Lindsay’s mother, for urging her children not to attend the service.

He told America’s OK! magazine, “Let’s see if she has the decency and respect to bring my kids to the wake and funeral. THIS will show her true colours! Thus, not even a call. But that’s par for the course with Dina! She didn’t even send a card or visit when he was sick.”

But now Lohan seems to have called a truce with his famous daughter, telling reporters she will in fact attend the final service later this week (begs01Sep08).

He tells E! Online, “She is going to be at the burial. All my kids will be there.”
