Nicolas Cage Will Star in “Kick-Ass”
Nicolas Cage has signed on to play the lead in “Kick-Ass”, based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar (Wanted)published under the Marvel Comics Icon imprint set to be directed by fellow comic book fan Matthew Vaughn.
Kick Ass which is Written by Mark Millar and drawn by John Romita Jr., centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.
Rounding out the cast is, Aaron Johnson who will play the dweeb and title character, Lyndsy Fonseca as the object of the teen’s infatuation who believes Dave is gay. Cage, a former cop who wants to bring down a drug lord and has trained his daughter (Chloe Moretz) to be a lethal weapon. Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Fogle from “Superbad”) is also in the cast.
