“Heavy Kings” Jay Chou is worth about NTD 10 billion, on equal terms with Terry Guo
Terry Guo(郭臺銘) is the richest people in Taiwan, who leads Hon Hai Precision (鴻海), a company that manufactures electronics on contract for other companies. It is now the largest such Electronics Manufacturing Services company in the world, with factories in several countries but mainly in mainland China where it employs 450,000 people, and is China’s largest exporter.
Jay Chou’s 8 annual albums have sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The new issue of “UBN Weekly” has listed him side by side with “Guo Dong” Terry Guo, besides naming them both “heavy kings”, they also say the two have many similarities, they estimate that Jay Chou is worth about NT$10 billion.
The report states, Jay Chou and Guo Dong are the most famous people in Taiwan, even primary school students and elderly people know them, due to this the nosy media go after their rumours like mad, causing them to forget what they actually contribute and the reason they dominate. Besides having ordinary educations but being extremely intelligent, the two know their own professional domains very well and have their own ideas.

And in their personal lives, they are both very filial to their mothers, besides giving all his income to his mother to handle, Jay Chou also wrote the song “Listen To Mother’s Words”, he also used her name “Ye Hui Mei” as an album name. So 10 billion NTD = 300,000,000 USD..
2007 jay’s earnings about 0.2 billion NTD..
but…do you know stock price and it’s price/earnings ratio?
