One more night in the BB house
There is just one night left in the Big Brother house for the five housemates who remain.
The ninth series of the hit reality television show began almost three months ago and now fans must vote for their favourite housemate to win.
The pressure of more than 90 days in the house was beginning to tell on Mikey Hughes, who told Welsh model Rachel Rice he was “really going off” everybody in the house.
He said he challenged housemates to ask his friends on the outside world if he had changed.
The grumpy Scot said: “The only difference now is that I don’t like noise and smells.
“Ask anybody who knew me when I could see and can see me now on TV. It’s the same Mikey, the same old Mikey.”
Rachel, who has been dogged by other housemates calling her “fake” because of her sunny disposition, told Mikey the accusations no longer get her down.
“It did affect me in the beginning, and the middle,” she confessed. “It got me down when people I cared about were saying it.
“It’s at the end now and it doesn’t affect me. I’m confident with who I am.”
On Wednesday, the five left in the house spent most of the day composing rap songs with the promise of being rewarded with an episode of this year’s Big Brother to watch.
Songwriter Darnell was the biggest success, rapping about his inability to unlock the safe during the cops and robbers task, his dislike of Rebecca ‘Bex’ Shiner and his time spent in the Big Brother jail.
They had to choose from episode one, where housemates enter the house and a secret mission is revealed; episode seven with the Electric Shock Task; or episode 55, where housemates begin their Cops and Robbers Task.
Most of the group wanted the latter episode as Sara Folino had arrived in the house when it took place. Rex Newmark was the only exception, having said he really wanted to watch housemates arrive.
Rachel sat open-mouthed as she watched Luke Marsden and Stuart Pilkington insulting her behind her back, while Darnell giggled as he viewed him and Kat talking to Big Brother in the Diary Room.
