Ritchie’s film ready to roll

Guy Ritchie will be crossing his fingers for a positive critical reception at the world premiere of his new movie RocknRolla.

The film centres around a Russian mobster in London’s criminal underworld.

Ritchie, 39, is attending tonight’s premiere alongside the cast of the film.

RocknRolla is being seen as the director’s make-or-break movie following his last two film titles Swept Away and Revolver.

His wife Madonna had a star role in Swept Away and the film and her performance was panned by critics.

Ritchie reverted back to gangster films with Revolver, but it was also badly received.

The British director hit fame a decade ago with the gangster caper Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

He recently stamped on suggestions his marriage was over with a public show of support at his superstar wife’s 50th birthday party.

Madonna performs in Amsterdam tomorrow night, on the latest leg of her Sticky & Sweet world tour.

The premiere takes place at the Odeon West End, in London’s Leicester Square.
