A host of Hollywood stars have taken a break from Tinseltown to support Barack Obama in Denver.
As the Democratic presidential hopeful prepared to accept the party’s nomination, actors Susan Sarandon, Ben Affleck, Matthew Modine and Anne Hathaway headed for Colorado.
But Mr Obama’s campaign advisors have reportedly opted to play down the number of celebrities who have come out in support of the Illinois Senator.
Brad Pitt was said to be one of several big hitters asked to keep their distance, despite being identified as a distant cousin of the White House hopeful.
Full Metal Jacket star Modine described Mr Obama as “a working-class American who understands working-class values”.
